The aim of the Permit is to give skilled workers a better chance of obtaining a job in Norway on completion of the course. In many professions (like nursing), proficiency in the Norwegian Language is a requirement in order to get a job.
The Residence Permit may be given for up to one year and successful applicants may also work part-time (any trade) whilst studying (and looking for a job).
Michelle from Bulacan registered her application on the Norwegian Application Portal recently and submitted her application at the Embassy one week ago. Michelle had compiled all the necessary documents and everything was in order. The application was therefore processed at the Embassy (under the Pilot Project for Residence Permits) and Michelle was notified of the decision after one week.
Michelle was delighted with the fast processing time and of course the positive decision, and is now heading for Norway to look for a new career there.
