The Application Portal may not be used for Residence Permits for Denmark. These applications should be submitted on paper, and appointments must be made by calling the Embassy.
Applicants who wish to apply for a Schengen Visa to Denmark must fill in the application form, pay the application fee and book an appointment on the Application Portal before submitting their supporting documents at the Embassy.
Booking
With the exception of seafarers and applicants handing in their applications at the Consulate in Cebu, all applicants must book an appointment on the Application Portal before coming to the Embassy to hand in their supporting documents. It is not possible to book an appointment without a visa application. For more information about the Appointment System, please click here.
Changing / Cancelling Appointments
Appointments can be changed or cancelled (by the applicant) by logging in on the Application portal and select given application.
Cancellation of Application
To cancel an application that has already been submitted on the Portal, applicants must contact the Visa Section in Manila. It is not possible to cancel an application using the Application Portal. A cancellation request must be made in writing (no need for an affidavit or a long letter) and include the applicant's signature.

The first time one uses the Application Portal, one must register a user with a username and a password.
Usernames and passwords should not contain any special characters such as @, %, &, etc.
The password must contain at least 8 characters, at least one number and at least one CAPITAL letter (e.g. Manila123).
After registering a user, an activation e-mail is sent to the registered e-mail address. To activate the user, click on the link and log in to the Application Portal.
Once logged in, applicants / sponsors can select what they wish to apply for, fill in the application form, pay the application fee (with a credit / debit card) and book an appointment at the Embassy.
The applicant's details must be filled in exactly as written in the passport. Missing middel names or errors in the spelling of the name or date of birth may lead to delays.
How to apply - Existing users (who have previously used the Application Portal)
Applicants who have used the Application Portal before will find that all the information they filled in the last time is transferred over to the new application form. It is only necessary to change details such as travel dates, etc., pay the fee and book an appointment to attend the interview and hand in the supporting documents.
Group registration
Applications can be registered individually or in groups on the Portal. A group may consist of 1 - 15 applicants. However, it is a requirement that all applicants have the same nationality and are travelling on the same dates, with the same itinerary.
Registering many applications as a group saves time. Notwithstanding, only data from individual applications are saved for future applications. Families or people who often travel together to Norway, Denmark or Iceland may therefore want to register all applications individually.
Supporting documents
A number of documents are required in order to process a visa application. Applicants must bring the complete set of supporting documents on their date of appointment. Please see the links below for the list of supporting documents.

Processing time
The processing time of a visa depends on each individual case. However, applicants should always apply several weeks before the intended journey.
If the case is considered uncomplicated, it can be handled by the Embassy in Manila, in which case the processing time as follows (counting from the day the Embassy receives all the requested documents) :
- Schengen visa (tourist, business, training) - 3 to 5 days (may be extended up to 30 days if the case requires further scrutiny)
- Seafarers to mainland Denmark: 1 to 2 days
- All applicants (including Seafarers) to Greenland or the Faroe Islands: 30 days (Handled by DIS)

Notification of Decision
The Applicant (Filipino citizen) will be notified when a decision has been made. The Applicant will be notified through e-mail (and in some cases, SMS).
In cases where the applicant has given 'Power of Attorney' to someone else (the sponsor, a family member, a friend, etc), it is the person with 'Power of Attorney' who will be notified, not the applicant.
Return of passport
The Embassy can also return the passports to the applicant if a pre-paid, self-addressed envelope (purchased from LBC, TNT or Air 21) is submitted along with the application. Using this procedure is at the Applicants own risk. The Embassy assumes no responsibility where any documents are lost in the post.
Application fee
The application fee must be paid electronically (by credit / debit card) on the Application Portal after filling in the application form online. The application will not be transferred (from the Portal to the Embassy's Visa System) before the payment has been successfully processed (usuallly within a few seconds). Applicants (/ sponsors, etc.) may pay by Visa or MasterCard.
In order to avoid misuse of the Portal, all applicants who are exempt from paying must ‘pay’ the visa fee initially. However, the amount will be transferred back to the same bank account as soon as proof is submitted showing that the applicant is exempted from paying the fee.
The application fee for short-stay visas to all Schengen states, including Denmark, is EUR 60. For children aged 6-12: EUR 35.
The fee is waived for visa applicants in the following categories:
- Children under 6 years
- School pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purpose of study or educational training
- Researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research, as per specific rules
- Applicants related to (spouse, descendant or dependent ascendant of) EEA citizens who are excercising their right to free movement (on production of relevant certificates (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc).
- Applications for D-visas
- In certain cases, the fee may be waived or reduced in accordance with national legislation, when this would serve to promote cultural, foreign or development policy interests, other areas of vital public interest, or for humanitarian reasons.
