Engagement Permit

Applicants who wish to enter into marriage in Norway and settle there afterwards, may apply for an Engagement Permit / Fiancè Permit. After the wedding, applicants may lodge an application for family reunification at the local Police Station in Norway instead of travelling back to their country of residence and applying to the nearest Embassy / Consulate General.

List of required documents to be submitted with the application:


1)  One complete application forms for residence/work permit (NB: Not necessary if applying online)


2) One new passport size picture with white background (Please mount pictures using adhesive tape or glue)


3) Original birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (plus 2 copies). Birth certificate should be issued at the time of birth or within a short period after birth. Late registered birth certificate is not acceptable unless a written explanation is attached regarding the non-submission of the original document


4) Original baptismal certificate (plus 1 copy). Baptismal certificate should be issued the actual year of baptism; otherwise, a written explanation should be attached.


5) One photocopy of current passport and previous passports including visas, immigration stamps  and blank pages


6) One photocopy of your sponsor's current passport and previous passports including visas, immigration stamps  and blank pages


7) If single, original Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) issued by the National Statistics Office (plus 2 copies).


8) If widow/widower, original death certificate of late spouse issued by the National Statistics Office (plus 2 copies)


9) If previous marriage is annulled, original Certificate of Finality (plus 1 copy)



10) If the reference person is a Filipino citizen, a copy of his/her birth certificate.


Additionally, the following document is required from the Fiancé: (NB: Documents must be sent directly to the applicant, not to the Embassy) .


11) Documentation of subsistence (eg. last three months salary slips, work contract, tax certficate) equivalent to Norwegian civil service pay grade 1, (civil pay grade 8 for applications submitted after July 21).


12) Original “Utskrift av opplysninger registrert i Det sentrale folkeregister” (proof of marital status).


13) Documentation of housing (rental or sales contract)


14) Information about plans of marriage
 

15)  Fee: PHP 22,200. Payment is made online (on the Application Portal) by VISA or MasterCard. Non-online applicants may pay by Manager's check payable to The Royal Norwegian Embassy. Cash payment will not be accepted. Children below 18 years old are free of charge
